Typically the OS listed with the camera is for their software, but you often don’t need to use their software to transfer the pictures.
If the camera has an external memory card or comes with a USB cable, you typically just have to connect it to WindowsXP and it’ll read the data.
The software should work on XP, but you never know for sure.
