I am having trouble getting my Panasonic printer to print checks from Quickbooks. Can anyone help?

I have been using Quickbooks, this computer with XP and the Panasonic KX-P2130 to print our checks for over a year. (Quickbooks and this printer for several years) When we got this computer last year, I know we had to set something to get the checks to print correctly, but I don’t remember what we did. We recently had to replace the hard drive and now starting all over, we can’t get the checks to print correctly. We purchase Quickbooks compatible checks from NEBS. When we go to print, we are offered several options, -standard, wallet, voucher- but these are all larger than the checks we have. Our checks are the size of one check and one check- size voucher. I am wondering if someone can help me with a setting that needs to be changed to make it work. I checked with Quickbooks and they have no record of helping with this before, Panasonic told me to make the printer emulate an Epson, but I don’t know how to do that. Anyone have any ideas?

If your checks are “the size of one check and one check- size voucher”, they are not QuickBooks compatible. If you use the voucher style setting; which for QB’s means: check, voucher, voucher; you should get the data you need printed on your voucher. I don’t know what the printer will do when it runs out of paper before the printing is complete.

To emulate an Epson, you need to download an Epson printer driver and install it.
