could your color have been changed by someone–look in the menu go into color and reset the default back–if not that try unpluging it for 5–min good luck

On a TV that’s 5 years old their shouldn’t be anything in the settings that will cause that. Sounds like it just needs service. For the price of service today to the price of a new DLP projection TV you might just want to consider picking up a new one at Bestbuy. Just because you repair it doesn’t mean that its good for another 5 years.

You would need to post what technology your OLD TV is based upon, CRT projection, DLP, LCD to give a certain answer?
I am going to presume it is a CRT projection set due to age. I’d presume that you’ve lost one of the CRT’s, I think the Blue one. Your set (if this is the case) is junk. It is not worth fixing. Buy a new PDP TV, stick with Panasonic or if you want the best, Pioneer. If you shop hard, you can often find Panasonic’s 50″ 720p sets for $1300 or so.
